Alfred Gockel (born 1952 in Lüdinghausen, Westphalia) is a German artist. He deals with painting, printmaking technology and sculpture. In 2006 he designed the official poster for the American Committee for the Winter Olympics in Turin, Italy. He became known for art in public space through the sculpture Yellow Angels at the Kamener Kreuz, the intersection of the A 1 and the A 2. He is now an internationally sought-after artist.
